It is undeniable that there is a lot of controversy
swirling about concerning the variable sizes now available within the Persian
breed. During the time we have been
breeding the "Micro" Persians we have seen, firsthand, the vast difference in
size one litter, or litter mates, can have from one another. With nothing separating the
queens experience (i.e. no difference in diet or home life) some kittens are just
considerably smaller than others
genetically.
Contrary to some information published on the internet the anomaly of the "Micro"
felines existence is well documented. There are quite a number of articles published
describing the existence the "Micro" or "dwarf" genes being displayed and discussed back to the
early 90's. Seemingly, the "Micro" Persians do not currently
enjoy the support of
the competitive breeding community though our personal experience has been very positive and
rewarding.
