| In the hope of giving kittens the very
best possible start they can have few things as important as nutrition. The diet we offer our kitties is primary wether kittening is part of
the equation or not. With the devastating wake the tainted animal food left behind we have chosen to make the
"wet" foods we serve our kittens daily and completely remove commercial wet foods from our animals diet. High
quality kitten kibble and natural well water round out our felines diet.
The following page contains the recipe I have been serving my precious babies
for several years now. I hope this is helpful to those looking for diet alternatives.
The recipe we developed is simple, heavy in protein with a base of chicken, liver, and rice with
taurine, vitamins and minerals supplemented. Our felines consistently have shinier coats, brighter eyes
and more playful demeanors. They approach meal time with real excitement and seem very satisfied.
In addition to maintaining their own bodyweight throughout gestation, our queens deliver healthy
and well muscled kittens. I can clearly see a difference in the kittens, especially at birth, with this
home made food offered to the adults daily.
We generally start with 20lbs of chicken boiled until the meat is just about
falling off of the bones.
The meat is picked off the bones VERY carefully and the end result is
this.

The broth is divided into two portions. One half being diluted with water and then used to cook the
rice and the balance used to boil the livers. We generally cook four containers, two for each 10lb bag of
chicken.

After the
livers have been boiled in the broth they are then minced and the liquid is the consistently of
gravy.

The rice that
has been prepared is then added into the liver base.

This mixture is tossed through until it is kind of thick but soupy.
The chicken is then added.

We add about
three tablespoons of granulated Taurine (available at Cal Vet Supply) and mix
throughout.
(Fun Fact: The AAFCO requires there to be .1%
Taurine in dry kibbles and .2% in any commercially produced wet foods)
The mixture is then packed
back into the liver containers (We have plenty now).

Then stored in the freezer for future use!

In addition, we do offer our
kitties raw meat in an effort to respect nature. I believe that nature still dictates what is best. What
is available and necessary for proper development is often omitted if not commercially
viable.
