Designer Persians

Micro & Naturally Small Felines

Welcome all to "Designer Persians" the culmination of many hopes and dreams for our family here in the heartland of the mid-west.

"Designer Persians" is a small, in home cattery with our base in Mason City, Iowa.  As my sister and I have joined forces and share coveted new genetics, we are so excited to offer kittens that are truly ethereal.  At "Designer Persians" we  are so pleased to offer the most exquisite felines and highlight the more extreme sizes also known as "Micro" sized Persians as well as the "Naturally Small" and more conventional sized Persians.

We strive to breed the highest quality, healthy  felines according to CFA standard. Cultivating an affectionate demeanor through consistent loving attention. All of our felines are family members first and foremost with every need met quickly and completely.

The breeding and raising of our kittens is a labor of love that involves the whole family. We consider them all blessings and take our responsibility to care and find good parents for them very seriously.

We hope you enjoy the photos and look forward to hearing from you.

--------Update 2009------------As most of you visiting know, we are now placing our last kittens for this season. As I head back to school it has become undeniably evident I am unable to achieve my goal being splintered between two many responsibilities. I have received so much supportive mail I have been quite shocked at the general climate of encouragement for the small kittens. I do also encourage those lone breeders that have gone against an accepted notion to following their own guide.

It is true that I have only been breeding felines for about four years now I am happy to share my personal experience with the Micros in terms of health and behavior for those seeking another perspective. I do encourage everyone to do the necessary investigation to glean balanced information. It takes a bit of negotiation to navigate all the conflict.   ******Update*******

As the 2010 season is quickly closing in the word "respite" comes to mind so often. This being a word that was so often presented to me as I let my intentions to close my cattery be known. For all those that placed my direction in those terms, KISMET!!, you obviously saw this coming (though I did not)! This being acknowledged, having reduced our breeders to four...we are again looking forward to the delivery of a very limited number of tiny felines the first of which are due in early May.
